Behavioral healthcare organizations have unique insurance needs. These organizations, which include alcohol and drug rehabilitation centers, mental health centers and counseling centers, employ various professionals such as psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, counselors and case managers. Typical claims involve suicide, violent acts and sexual misconduct. We offer Professional and General Liability coverages on a claims made basis, with Prior Acts coverage available, or on an occurrence basis, with limits up to $5 million. Physicians/psychiatrists and volunteers are included as insureds. We also offer Legal Expense Related to Disciplinary Proceedings coverage which provides for legal representation and pays the expenses when an employee must appear before a licensing board.

Our Directors & Officers Liability coverage includes employment practices liability for wrongful acts involving discrimination, employment termination and sexual harassment. This coverage is offered on a claims made basis with prior acts available. Coverage is provided for the entity and subsidiaries as well as employees and volunteers.

A limit up to $5 million is available and defense costs are in addition to the policy limit.
